<div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div style='font-size:12pt'><p style='margin:0 0 7 0;'><span>Atlantic salmon postsmolts were surveyed via surface trawling during 2001 and 2003. These data were provided to the Coastal Oceanography and Ecosystem Research section of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. These data, and information from subsequent tagging studies were considered to estimate the likelihood of presence of Atlantic salmon within the Area Response Plan regions. Atlantic salmon presence varies seasonally and this spatial information should be used in conjunction with the temporal information in the attribute table. </span></p><p style='margin:0 0 7 0;'><span>A version of this dataset was created for the National Environmental Emergency Center (NEEC) following their data model and is available for download on the Federal Geospatial Platform (FGP).</span></p><p style='margin:0 0 7 0;'><a href='https://open.canada.ca:443/data/en/dataset/436cdf90-9d6b-4784-938b-feec48844a67' target='_blank' style='text-decoration:underline;'><span>Learn more or download this dataset from the Government of Canada's Open data portal.</span></a></p><p style='margin:0 0 7 0;'><span>En 2001 et en 2003, des post-saumoneaux de l’Atlantique ont fait l’objet d’un relevé au chalut de surface. Ces données ont été fournies à la section de recherche sur l’océanographie et les écosystèmes côtiers de Pêches et Océans Canada (MPO). On a tenu compte de ces données et de l’information provenant d’études de marquage ultérieures afin d’estimer la probabilité de la présence du saumon de l’Atlantique dans les régions visées par le Plan d’intervention régional.
