Un numéro séquentiel unique associé à chaque polygone permet de retracer le polygone apparié de la géodatabase des écosystèmes côtiers pour connaître les valeurs d’attributs non détaillé dans le présent shapefile. </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>La région d’étude comprend l’ensemble des littoraux estuariens et maritimes du Québec, à l’exception de certains </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>secteurs dont la majeure partie de la Basse-Côte-Nord et de l’Île d’Anticosti, à l’exception des villages de Kegaska, la Romaine, Chevery, Blanc-Sablon et Port-Menier. Certaines îles au large des côtes de l’estuaire et du golfe font parties de la région couverte, telles que l’Île d’Orléans, l’Isle-aux-Coudres, l’Île Verte et l’Île Bonaventure.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="font-style:italic;margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN /></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 1 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Le projet de </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-style:italic;"><SPAN>Cartographie des écosystèmes côtiers du Québec maritime</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>a été réalisée conjointement par le Laboratoire de dynamique et de gestion intégrée des zones côtières (LDGIZC) de l’Université du Québec à Rimouski dans le cadre du Projet Résilience côtière; et par l’équipe de Pêches et Océans Canada, dans le cadre de l’initiative Planification pour une Intervention Marine Intégrée (PIMI) du Plan de Protection des Océans (PPO). Dans le cadre de ce projet, une classification des écosystèmes côtiers a été réalisée sur plus de 4 200 km de corridor côtier, avec pour sujet les littoraux estuariens et maritimes du Québec situés entre la limite du haut-estran et l'infralittoral peu profond (environ 10m de profondeur). La méthode de cartographie développée s’appuie sur une segmentation et classification semi-automatisée et une photo-interprétation des écosystèmes côtiers, à partir de photographies multispectrales (RBVI) à très haute résolution (30 cm) acquises entre 2015 et 2020 par le MPO. La classification des entités surfaciques (polygones) s'appuie sur l'attribution de classes de valeurs pour les attributs biologiques et physiques à l'étude (par ex. étagement, substrats, type végétaux, couverture de la végétation, géosystème, etc.). Des photographies obliques héliportées et des données de terrain ont contribué à réduire l’incertitude associée au travail de photo-interprétation. L'UQAR et le MPO ont mené des campagnes d'échantillonnage terrain visant respectivement le médiolittoral (4 390 stations) puis la zone médiolittorale inférieure et infralittorale (2 959 stations), ce qui a permis de valider certains attributs identifiés par photo-interprétation et d'apporter une information détaillée sur la structure des communautés. It consists of polygons with eelgrass and</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>incorporates</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>attributes describing the vegetation cover, the composition of the seagrass beds, the associated ecosystem name, the imagery data that allowed photo-interpretation and the presence or absence of field data. A unique sequence number associated with each polygon makes it possible to trace the paired polygon of the geodatabase of coastal ecosystems to attribute values not detailed in this shapefile. </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>The study area includes all of the estuarine and maritime coasts of Quebec, with the exception of certain sectors, including most of the Lower North Shore and Anticosti Island, with the exception of villages of Kegaska, la Romaine, Chevery, Blanc-Sablon and Port-Menier. Some islands off the estuary and gulf coasts are part of the region covered, such as Île d'Orléans, Isle-aux-Coudres, Île Verte and Île Bonaventure.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 1 0;"><SPAN /><SPAN /></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 1 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The Mapping of Coastal Ecosystems of Maritime Quebec was carried out jointly by the Laboratory for Dynamics and Integrated Coastal Zone Management (LDGIZC) of the University of Quebec at Rimouski as part of the Coastal Resilience Project; and by the Fisheries and Oceans Canada team, as part of the Integrated Marine Response Planning Program (IMRP). A classification of coastal ecosystems was carried out on more than 4,200 km of coastal corridor, focusing on estuarine and maritime coasts of Quebec located between the limit of the upper foreshore and the shallow infralittoral (about 10m deep). The mapping method developed is based on semi-automated segmentation and a photo-interpretation of coastal ecosystems, using very high resolution multispectral photographs (RBVI) acquired between 2015 and 2020 by DFO. The classification of polygons is based on the assignment of predefined value classes for the biological and physical attributes under study (e.g., substrates, plant type, vegetation cover, geosystem, etc. ). Helicopter-born oblique photographs and field data helped to reduce the uncertainty associated with photo-interpretation. UQAR and DFO conducted field sampling campaigns targeting the mediolittoral (4,390 stations) and the lower mediolittoral and infralittoral zones (2,959 stations), respectively , which validated some of the attributes identified by photo-interpretation and provided detailed information on community structure .
