Description: BLUE WHALE - Data collected by the Mingan Island Cetacean Study (MICS) of blue whale sightings have been analysed per km of effort in 3 x 3km grid cells in the Gulf of St. Lawrence during the period 2000-2008.The aim of this project was to provide additional information for designating blue whale critical habitat as required under the Canadian Species at Risk Act#Fra RORQUAL BLEU - Les données d'observations du rorqual bleu récoltées par la Station de Recherche des Îles Mingan (SRIM) ont été analysées par km d'effort et rapportées par cellules de 3 x 3km dans le golfe Saint-Laurent durant la période de 2000-2008.Ce projet avait pour objectif de fournir des renseignements supplémentaires pour la désignation de l'habitat essentiel du rorqual bleu, en vertu de la Loi sur les espèces en péril du Canada.
