From August 5th to September 3rd, 2012, Fisheries and Oceans Canada conducted a baseline survey of marine fishes and their habitats on the Canadian Beaufort Shelf and slope. Sampling was conducted from the F/V Frosti at 28 stations along four transects. Standardized sampling was conducted at pre-determined depth stations (20-40, 75, 200, 350, 500, 750, and 1000 m) using a variety of sampling equipment including benthic fishing trawls, plankton nets, sediment cores, and CTD and water sample profiles. A specialized CTD probe (UCTD) was deployed at an additional 30 locations while the ship was underway. Presented here is the information on the sampling locations, and the sampling gear deployed at each station.

Du 5 août au 3 septembre 2012, Pêches et Océans Canada a effectué un relevé initial des poissons marins et de leurs habitats sur le plateau et le talus canadien de la mer de Beaufort. L’échantillonnage a été effectué à partir du F/V Frosti à 28 stations réparties le long de quatre transects. Un échantillonnage normalisé a été effectué à des stations de profondeur prédéterminée (20 à 40, 75, 200, 350, 500, 750 et 1 000 m) à l’aide de divers équipements d’échantillonnage, notamment des chaluts benthiques, des filets à plancton, des carottiers à sédiments, des instruments de mesure CTP et un échantillonneur d’eau. Une sonde CTP spécialisée (CTP-en cours) a été déployée aux 30 stations supplémentaires pendant que le navire était en route. Voici l’information sur les lieux d’échantillonnage et l’équipement d’échantillonnage déployé à chaque station.
