Description: #Français La couche représente la distribution saisonnière de la population de béluga de l’estuaire du Saint-Laurent (Delphinapterus leucas). La distribution estivale provient de plusieurs relevés (bateau, hélicoptère, avion) réalisés entre la fin août et le début de septembre. Les distributions automnale et hivernale proviennent de relevés aériens effectués à la mi-octobre, en novembre et de décembre à mars 1989 et 1990. La distribution printanière provient d’anecdotes et de deux relevés aériens effectués à la fin avril et au début du mois de juin 1990. #English This layer represents the seasonal distribution of the St. Lawrence Estuary beluga whale population (Delphinapterus leucas). Summer distribution is based on many surveys conducted between the end of August and early September. Fall and winter distributions are based on aerial surveys conducted during mid-October, November and from December to March 1989-1990. Spring distribution is based on anecdotal reports and two aerial surveys conducted in late April and early June 1990.
